Blue book is a hidden gem nestled amidst the lush green forests of Gethia near Nainital. It is 130-year-old colonial structure overlooking the Jeolikote valley, it was built by Madame Durell - a British lady who chose to settle in this hamlet for life. Swap a few days away from the concrete jungle for endless vistas of picturesque valleys. Blue book is a unique amalgamation of the old and new -they've blended architecture and design to deliver a breathtaking holiday experience, celebrating the pleasure of living an easy pace of life in the hills. The property is spread over 4 acres and has 12 rooms also called Chapters spread across two wings. Each of the 12 rooms feel like new canvases with new tales to be told. One of the wing has 8 chapters which has a Victorian-British insipired style and the other wing has 4 chapters which has contemporary spanish interiors. The culinary experience here is unparalleled. Relish scrumptious dishes cooked by the in-house chef, they offer a plethora of cuisines suited to every palate at Gethia - from Indian, Pan-asian, Italian to Continental. The choice of ingredients, the fresh greens, and fruits, are all crafted to treat your senses . The meals are prepared according to your preferences - the chefs will provide you with a variety of choices and they make it a point to talk to the patrons and makes all their meals keeping instructions under keen consideration. All the meals are served at different locations - overlooking the mountain, by the river or under the star- lit sky or a live F&B counter at Land’s End – with a view of the gorgeous Jeolikote. They also have an in-house bakery. While staying here you can also indulge in hikes and trails for gorgeous sunrise/sunset views followed by a picnic in the jungle or a barbeque by the riverside. You can also take a tour of the local village and experience farm-to-fork at a Kumaoni cafe in Bhimtal. A visit to Baba Neeb Karori Ashram at Kainchi Dham is a must.
