About the property:
Parijaat is a hidden gem in the heart of Anjuna. Kavita and Manoj Nair created this holiday home as a tranquil escape from their hectic corporate lives. Embracing the joys of slow living, they chose to make it their permanent base, sharing this peaceful lifestyle with their young daughter. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Anjuna, Parijaat Goa is a serene escape set in a lush, one-acre setting. The guest cottage serves as a peaceful retreat from the area's hustle, with North Goa Airport just 40 minutes away and South Goa Airport 70 minutes away.
The ethos centers on embracing a slow, mindful lifestyle while respecting the environment.

The cottage at Parijaat Goa features a charming façade crafted from a mosaic of antique windows, offering a unique and captivating first impression. Inside, you’ll discover two beautifully distinct rooms, Magpie Robin and Drongo, available for individual or combined rental. Each room combines old-world charm with modern amenities, adorned treasured trinkets. The bathrooms are particularly inviting, with one guest even spending hours reading and enjoying the tranquil space. At Parijaat Goa, guests can enjoy a variety of enriching experiences. The in-house ceramic studio invites creative exploration, while bird watchers can delight in observing over 65 species in the gardens. The menu typically includes a vibrant platter of fresh, seasonal fruits alongside artisanal muesli sourced from small businesses. For the main course, you can choose from farm-fresh eggs prepared to your preference—boiled, scrambled, fried, or as an omelet. If Kavita is around, don’t miss her special Middle Eastern shakshouka. Alternatively, enjoy the Indian breakfast of the day, featuring a variety of options from South Indian, Maharashtrian, or North Indian cuisines.
Breakfast, which is included in your room rate, is served leisurely at the outdoor dining table, highlighting the dedication to local and seasonal produce. You can also choose from a selection of teas, including homemade ginger chai, or opt for coffee options such as cappuccino, espresso, or lungo to suit your taste. The Farm-to-Table journey at Parijaat Goa is truly wholesome. Surrounded by lush greenery, the guest cottage exemplifies a deep commitment to nurturing and sustaining the local ecosystem. Many of the original trees on the property have been preserved, and efforts are actively underway to achieve self-sustainability through vegetable cultivation. The garden, evolving with the seasons, stands as a testament to this ongoing commitment.
Kavita’s lifelong dream of farming has grown stronger, fueled by her desire to teach her daughter, Devaki, about the true origins of food and the effort involved in its cultivation. Many ingredients in the meals are sourced directly from the garden. They produce their own coconut oil and cultivate a range of produce, including black pepper, haldi (turmeric), mango ginger, and tamarind. Homemade pickles are made from mangoes harvested from their trees, and the ghee used in cooking is crafted from milk sourced from a nearby gaushala. Guests can savor these fresh, home-grown, and homemade delights as part of their breakfast experience at Parijaat Goa. It’s a way of sharing the fruits of their labor and dedication to sustainable living.
If you’ve been eager to try your hand at clay, Parijaat has you covered. Kavita, a talented ceramic artist, has her studio, @messeKe.pottery.studio, right on the property. Nestled in a charming open shed, the studio offers guests the opportunity to engage in workshops and enhance their vacation experience through clay art. Additionally, if you’re looking for unique souvenirs to take home, consider selecting from the ceramics crafted by Kavita. Her creations make for wonderful and memorable gifts.
