Dev Shree is your doorway into the fascinating era of Mewar where you're welcomed by the owners itself, the time of graciousness and the period of beauty and art. Shatrunjai Singh Chundawat, a scion of the Deogarh family decided to re-build the heritage home and drew elements of inspiration from the charming Bagor ki Haveli at Udaipur, the City Palace of Udaipur and the artists who worked on these properties. He wanted to showcase the local craftsmanship in his home and provide an opportunity for the local boys and girls to learn the tenets of hospitality and that's how Dev Shree came to be. There’s a sense of swankiness that swiftly brushes off on you the moment you step in at Dev Shree – a grand haveli hidden away in Deogarh, a small town of Rajasthan. Staying at Dev Shree is indeed a regal experience for any traveller. Reclining on a splendid bed, tasting the keenly selected cuisine and living amidst the artistically painted walls and ceilings, carved pillars which adorn the deep verandah overlooking the Ragho sagar lake is certainly not an ordinary affair. 

Dev Shree is an ideal way to unearth some history and soak up a bit of erstwhile royalty. There are 7 spacious and well appointed suites with private garden space and with endless iews of the surrounding gardens. Enjoy gaping at beautiful migratory birds, sitting in your verandah with the lawn stretching out to the shore of the Ragho Sagar lake. If you are lucky, you will witness peacocks frolic around in the garden all day long. The open-to-sky coutyard is our favourite spot for a morning cuppa while reading the daily newspaper.
